Windshield OEM Mazda or OEM FORD

I asked the dealer to replace the windshield and they did, I was in a loaner for a week while they had the car, waiting for the windshield and installation. All the cameras and sensors work for.

Heated Windshield Hi, had one in my Ford Scorpio some 20 years ago! Fantastic piece of kit.

No VW experience, but did have to replace the windshield on a 2016 Mazda 6 with all of the driver aids/cameras/sensors...same as the Golf R w/ DAP. I went with a local Novus guy who had good reviews. He's an owner/operator and did a great job. My insurance paid for an OEM windshield since the car was less than 18 months old.

I had the same issue with the oem windshield on my wife's 2014 Ford Escape. From the drivers side the blurr was so bad it made my head hurt.

I had 0 rock chips in 120,000 miles of driving prior to my Maverick

In 8,000 miles on the Maverick I have 2 different rock chips on different days. Windshield is garbage

I had my Maverick for a week and got a good rock chip in the windshield that Safelite had to fix. These windshields are shit.

My windshield was cracked about 6 months into ownership. I've also had 2 other solid impacts that caused no damage, but were just as loud as the 1 that cracked it. Something about the Maverick design that attracts rocks. Lower cabin, more upright windshield, I suppose.

The windshield cracks easily. I had the same problem month in. My windshield was also on back order for 3 months the rep told me there was a lot on order and they were having a hard time keeping them on hand.

My Outer Banks I’ve had for 1 year as of this week. I replaced my windshield after 1 month for a crack and then two days later got another. I waited till I had 15 chips and cracks in it before replacing it again. Within a month had two more chips, the windshield is definitely a big problem
