Windshield OEM Audi or OEM FORD

My old S3 ('09) and my A6 ('11) have really solid windscreens compared to my previous (non-Audi) vehicles.

The windshield on my A6 C5 original from factory lasted 19 years until a rock about the size of a bouncy ball flew off a semi and hit me on the freeway. Through the years it had been pelted countless times by different kinds of debris.

I have a 2019 A4. Had my windshield replaced by Safelite with Audi factory glass, they calibrated it, and it was perfect.

My Prestige A4’s windshield was replaced with OEM glass. Recalibration was covered. Works great.

My windshield was replaced with a genuine Audi one. Recalibration was done. Looks perfect and have had no issues.

Heated Windshield Hi, had one in my Ford Scorpio some 20 years ago! Fantastic piece of kit.

It’s so incredibly frustrating how easy it is for these windshields to crack. My 2013 a5 is so prone to tiny rocks cracking the windshield

My Outer Banks I’ve had for 1 year as of this week. I replaced my windshield after 1 month for a crack and then two days later got another. I waited till I had 15 chips and cracks in it before replacing it again. Within a month had two more chips, the windshield is definitely a big problem

We are having the same issues with the windshields cracking and chipping quite easily. I wonder if Auto Manufacturer's went to a cheaper glass for cost cutting.
