Windshield OEM Audi or CARGLASS

With HUD it’s always better to get OEM glass so you don’t deal with distortion of the image.

I got OEM glass and my dealership told me to go to Safelite. I paid my glass deductible only. All my recalibrations are holding up for 2+ years.

Just make sure to say you want OEM glass, not whatever aftermarket one they might try to force you into.

Gonna be at least $2k+ for OEM windshield. They have to calibrate it again that’s why. Aftermarket is probably $1k or less but I don’t recommend getting an aftermarket one. Go OEM.

got an exact OEM replacement glass with all the sensors, etc back working 100% perfect with no issues now after 2.5 years with that replacement.

I had the windshield on my S5 replaced a couple years ago and the non Audi brand “OEM equivalent” windshield the shop installed first messed up the image, it was a double image out of focus. When they replaced it with the Audi branded OEM windshield the heads up was good again.

I got my windshield repaired 2 weeks ago in switzerland and you can still see the dent, it looks like a small hole and the guy from Carglass said that its normal it stays like this, they dont replace the whole windshield when its a small dent, they repair it instead

Wenn CarGlass dann frag‘ bitte dringend ob die alles hinkriegen - inklusive kalibrieren der Kamera etc.. Hier vor Ort können die fast nix davon bei Japanern.

Kürzlich falsche Scheibe installiert und Head-up-Display dadurch nicht mehr lesbar.
