2017 A4 Prestige about to go over 90k miles. Only real repairs so far are water pump and breather hose if you don’t consider that maintenance.
I paid similar for a BMW TBF, however, another garage told me that the garage I went to was known for charging high prices. I always shop around when the price is in the hundreds so I'm confident I wasn't ripped off.
I traded in my first car earlier this year
Subaru impreza > audi s5 supercharged. Best decision ive made. The only real problem other than maintenance was the waterpump and pcv which are known failures with this specific engine
I had my 2008 BMW 135i E88 for going on 14 years, it's about to hit 70k miles and looks like new. I've done a couple bolt-ones (IC, charge pipe, Cobb tune). It's been a great car and a blast to drive. I did replace the water pump this past summer otherwise normal maintenance.
I own a tuned Audi, the only thing to go bad in it is the water pump which is a super common issue to the point Audi repaired it for free under extended warranty.
I brought my 2018 SQ5 in two weeks ago for an oil change and cylinder inspection. Tech said it’s mild scoring but he also said there are beginning signs of water pump failure.
I smelled coolant on my 2019 Audi Q7 when it had 50,000 miles. Took it to the local Audi dealership. They swore up and down no issues. I kept a very close eye on the coolant levels. Slowly kept going down. Took it back two weeks later, and the water pump needed replaced.
My 2022 s4 water pump failure at 42000km. Lucky it was under warranty. This is probably the last Audi I will buy. The quality sucks.
I had an 2001 740iL that I traded an old truck for. The electronics are kind of a nightmare, the water pump has a plastic impeller that likes to randomly explode and shoot plastic all through the cooling system. You can buy one with a metal impeller that solves this.
I'm currently driving a brand new Q5 while my car gets a new water pump. The dealership *apologized* for giving me that loaner Q5... lol. I honestly, really, truly hate it. It has a premium price, but sitting in it with all the plastic everywhere, does not feel premium.
