I switched from cup2's to vitour's on my 981 gt4 and have no complaints. They last longer and I think they more consistent than the cup2's.

Pros: last longer, more consistent
Vehicle: Porsche

YOKOHAMA Tires

Nekem a Yokohama BluEarth 4S AW21 bevált. Lassan 2 éves, 20+ ezer kilométert mentem vele és teljesen hibátlanul teljesített télen-nyáron.

Pros: hibátlanul teljesített
Mileage: 20000 km

I have these guys on my V8 SUV. Didn't give them much thought, was a good deal, and ride quality is much improved. Mine balanced fine and look pretty new after a year and almost 10,000km. I don't drag or track race, I'll floor it occasionally for a thrill and I drive probably 160km/h max on highways.

Pros: good deal, improved ride
Cons: sidewall flex too thin
Mileage: 10000 km

YOKOHAMA Tires

I run Yokohama advan sport v105s that run between 5-600 a tyre and they’re excellent. Softer rubber so they ware a bit quicker but it’s worth it for the grip… they’re an all year tyre too.

Pros: excellent, worth it grip
Cons: ware a bit quicker
Part number: V105S

YOKOHAMA Tires

July 4th coming up. There will def be sales. Get tires with more tread, 85000 if possible. Yokohamas (avid ascend) can usually be found for decent.

Pros: decent, more tread

VITOUR Tires

I came across the Vitour Galaxy R1s — they’re V-rated, which is cool, but I’m not sure if they’re DOT approved. From what I can tell, they’re made by a South African brand (possibly China-owned) and seem to be geared toward drift/race use.

Just wondering if anyone’s actually run these? How’s the grip and overall quality? I’m aiming for a tire that can handle daily driving and still be fun in the corners without dropping $500+ on Avons CR6ZZ

Pros: V-rated tire
Cons: DOT approval uncertain

I've got a set of Yokohama tires I use for the summer. Very little wear on them, they've seen about 15,000 km total use, not cracked or dry rotted, stored indoors over the winter. They are however from 2016. This year I started hearing a whine in the front end, sounded a bit like a wheel bearing. On freshly laid asphalt it's silent or nearly so. On older pavement it's louder. On the highway in rain, it got REALLY loud, and I could feel a hum in the pedal. Like, loud enough I slowed to about 80kph as I was worried something was going to let go on the car. Pavement went dry? Went back to the normal "bearing" noise. Theres no shaking or balance issues, they drive true and straight, it's just this noise. Car is a 2011 santa fe, in Canada. I bought the tires new in 2016.

Pros: very little wear, drive true and straight
Cons: whine in front end, loud in rain, hum in pedal
Mileage: 15000 km
