Yokohama Geolandar G015 for the win. Amazing on road manners and fantastic aired down performance with the LT variant
I don't know about these inparticular but I drove AT51 Kuhmos back when I had a 07 Liberty in Syracuse, NY.
I hiked and camped regularly with friends as well. Drove on trails, did moderate off-roading, heavy snow, ice, heavy rain, on top of it being my daily driver, so plenty of highway miles as well.
They lasted me 55K (rotated 4 times during ownership)
Never had a flat, great traction, great price.
One of the best tires I've owned. I had to emergency brake on a rainy day and man... my car was like glued to the road, no slipping, and stopped immediately. Their grip is amazing. On the durability side it is great too.
I recommend using Yokohama ES32. Cheaper than Dunlop. Previously I'm a fan Yokohama Tyres.. Been using their midrange C.drive AC01 and C.drive2 AC02.. Give me confidence in wet weathers.
I replaced my OEM Falkein ZIEX tires at exactly 21k miles with some Yokohama Geolandar X-CV's. The new GX's seem to ride fine on them so for my experience with 400 miles on the Geolandars, they have improved ride quality and lowered perceived road noise.
Kumho Solus Ta51a is a quality, long lived all season touring tire thats not super expensive.
Get some Yokohama Geolander CV4s tires and never have to worry about traction on snow and ice or wearing out winter tires. Best All weather tires you can buy and they’re decent off road. Light weight too. 60k tread wear warranty. I got them on a CX-5 and it’s unstoppable in snow.
I replaced mine after 27k miles and they were DONE, no thread left on any of them. 13k miles later they look very good, but I have also been rotating them (unlike the Kumho ones).
Kumho tires suck. Mine lasted about 24k miles before I replaced them with Michelins.
In a year and a half of having these tires I’ve had 3 flats and 1 slow leak on the sidewall of a a tire… needless to say, I’ll never get kumho’s ever again
