Tires YOKOHAMA or Goodyear

YOKOHAMA Tires

This doesn't apply to you, as you're in California, but my winter tires are Yokohama and they're the best winter tires I've ever had. I've had Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone.

Pros: best winter tires ever

Yokohama is your best bang for the buck on the list. You are never going to be mad about going with the Michelins though.

Pros: best bang for buck

Rating 4.0

For the tyre you posted, there is only a few mm till you reach the tread marker which indicates that you will need a new tyre again very soon. On the other hand, one of the best premium tyres in the market only costs you around 50-70 pounds for a new one and it can last for 40000 miles

Pros: lasts for 40000 miles
Cons: few mm till marker
Mileage: 40000 km

YOKOHAMA Tires

As far as tyres go, I swear by Yokohama’s.

They can be a little soft and they don’t last forever but I’ve never found the limit of grip and I have a highly modified car and drive like I stole it.

Pros: never found grip limit
Cons: little soft, don't last

Cheap versus branded - branded will be better everytime. In a small car with little brakes you want the best contact possible.

Pros: branded better everytime
