I bought the cheapest tires I could and drove like 1500 miles every 2 weeks... South Texas to New Mexico oilfield
Couldn't be more pleased though as a general rule sport "summer" tires generally don't do as well in the rain as all seasons so be warned... they were fine but not as good as the yokohama all seasons they replaced
Walmart has a Black Friday deal every year for their Goodyear tires. I never have a problem with them.
Just got a new set of tires last week. Went with Yokohama Advance Sport A/S on my 2021 XSE. Very happy with the performance on dry and wet.
I like the geolanders on my wilderness.
Goodyear related: I remember the F1 dsg3's (IIRC) that were OE on the MK4 GLI 1.8t. being one of the best wet weather tires I had experienced up till that point.
I remember back in the day getting a set of 352's because I liked how they looked and Butler Tire had a discount on them, mine weren't so wide though, just 195/60 --- the review below is accurate, they were LOUD on asphalt but good in the wet and excellent on dirt/gravel, had them on a Saab 900 that I'd take offroad quite a bit.
Goodyear Assurance Weather Ready. Liking these tires in the snow.
Wilderness forester handling steep grades like a champ, stock Yokohama Geolandar tires did not like climbing back up though
Geotour HTs. Hate em.
Yokohama Geolander M/T 33x11.50. Terrible decision ????. Great for fresh powder but as soon as it gets packed and icy, I regret not springing for something with more contact patch. But damn if I don’t love the look
