To your comment about the GITI tires...my 2019 SE came with them. I've put about 2k miles on the car so far. I have always been a bit of a tire snob, changing OE tires for higher grade ones rather quickly. But I have to admit that these OE tires have really surprised me. They're quiet, smooth, and do the job a small SUV needs. Now, I'll still probably go with a different company when these wear out, but for now I'm satisfied.

Pros: quiet, smooth, do the job
Mileage: 3218 km

YOKOHAMA Tires

After 2 weeks of looking and doing homework. Analysis paralysis? I bought Yokahama YK740 GTX. 225/50/17. So far I like them. I was also looking at the "Continental pro contact" as well but the Yokahama had better ratings. If your into that kinda thing. (I was). The wider tire looks kinda cool too.

Pros: better ratings, looks cool

Giti Tires

We've had significant amounts of rain here in the Denver area with lots of standing water. So far, so good with the Gitis resistance to hydroplaning. No major complaints on these tires having logged about 7K miles in 3 months.

Pros: good hydroplaning resistance
Cons: no major complaints
Mileage: 7000 km

I had minor concerns about these "Giti" tires but they remind me of the Continental Pro Contacts on previous VW's. Handling, noise, traction are all decent for an OEM tire.

Pros: decent handling, decent traction
Cons: funny name

Ive noticed that my new 2019 SE has Giti brand tires. So far, they seem fairly quiet and have an acceptable ride and handling. Running recommended 41psi.

Pros: fairly quiet, acceptable ride

I am now running 235/70R17 Yokohama GEOLANDAR A/T G015, gives the car almost 1" of lift, smooth and quiet on the freeway. They weigh 12# more than the stock 215/65R17 and make the car accelerate slower, but they are great on dirt roads.

Pros: smooth and quiet, great on dirt roads
Cons: accelerate slower, weigh 12# more

I had previous versions on my grand Cherokee (31s) and loved them absolutely unstoppable in the snow. and have the current version on my TJ (\"35s\") and love them as well. Not as aggressive looking as the GY MT/RS I had on for a little while before them but much smoother and quieter.

Pros: smoother and quieter
Cons: not as aggressive looking
