Tires YOKOHAMA or DUNLOP

YOKOHAMA Tires

I’m on my 2nd set of Yokohama Advans for my 16GT. Longest lived tires (60k miles +) I’m willing to live with ever.

Pros: longest lived tires
Mileage: 96560 km

I would go with BF Goodrich KO2s, Falken AT3Ws, Or Yokohama. DO NOT get Goodyears or Mikey Thompsons, Goodyears are about the only tire I commonly replace new, customer buys them, hates them, comes back a week later and replaces them, and Mikey Thompsons, only thing I commonly put them on are people that don’t care about ride quality (People with “Built” Jeep wranglers that are mall crawlers, like they only did exterior mods). The tires I suggested will be on the pricier side but not too bad, they will all last you much longer then cheaper tires would

Pros: last much longer
Cons: pricier side

Pros: liked them
Cons: unavailable

If you are shopping the 235/65 17 size you can get Yokohama g015 for 160 each. They are great tires loved them on my tacoma. Now I have wrangler AT Kevlar not as good imho

Pros: great tires
Cons: wrangler AT Kevlar better

DUNLOP Tires

The summer Dunlops that come with the VB are not good for winter use. I'd suggest getting winter tires or at least all weather tires to be on the safe side. I got Michelin CrossClimate 2's and will be rolling into winter with those here in eastern Oregon.

Pros: safe for winter
Cons: not good for winter
Vehicle: Subaru

DUNLOP Tires

I ran these tires once to save money. You can get a knee down but noticably less traction than something like an s22. Afterwords I switched to michelin power 5's, loved them.

Pros: can get a knee down
Cons: less traction

Went sideways driving on ice last year in the OEM Dunlops, and while it was kinda fun, it was terrifying to experience zero traction even at low speed.

Now that I have a proper set of Blizzaks, it’s like night and day. Insane traction and way better stopping power.

Cons: zero traction on ice

DUNLOP Tires

The very first storm I had my 22 on stock the Dunlop’s I slid through a whole intersection with abs thumping the whole time I was NOT prepared for how bad they were.

Cons: slid through intersection
