Installed 4 Vredesteins 2 weeks ago done great in rain, snow, and dry.
Vredestein Pinza AT.
Kept seeing tons of good things, but not actual reviews. Live in Reno/Tahoe area up Mt Rose and have been really happy this big winter ripping around in the snow.
I just bought a set of winter Vredesteins in November and so far, I've been very, very pleased with their performance (coming from a history of Blizzaks, then more recently Michelin Alpins).
It sounds like your issues are mostly due to the tires. The stock tires aren't very good in the [snow and cold](https://www.tirerack.com/tires/continental-procontact-rx). I changed my tires to better all-weather tires (Vredestein Quatrac Pros) and saw great performance in snow for the last two winters in Chicago.
Also running Vredestein Quatrac Pro in a wet state that gets some snow too. Excellent all-rounder.
I am running Vredestein Quatrac Pro. Super comfy ride but still pretty sporty for a all-season tire. I would not hesitate to buy another set of Vredestein tires, all seasons or not!
Replaced factory Continental tires with Vredestein Quatrac Pros, which are infinitely better.
I use those exact tires. Unless you’re doing something crazy, they’re really good. I’ve driven them in horrible winter weather to very rainy summer days on the autobahn. They’re the best I’ve ever had.
We used to use the P Zero Nero as they came on our mustang but they just didn't have the traction we wanted...We replaced them with RIKEN RIKEN RAPTOR ZR tires @ about $100 each (raw tire)
The Riken handle better on blacktop, although it's no super sticky tire but the front end doesn't plow near as bad.
We no longer sell or recommend vredestein. Saw a lot of issues with tread wear and blow outs on 40 series or less sidewall.
