I had previous versions on my grand Cherokee (31s) and loved them absolutely unstoppable in the snow. and have the current version on my TJ (\"35s\") and love them as well. Not as aggressive looking as the GY MT/RS I had on for a little while before them but much smoother and quieter.

Pros: smoother and quieter
Cons: not as aggressive looking

YOKOHAMA Tires

I got 19 inch Yokohama Advan A/S for $800. I have the Mazda 6 sport that came with 17 inch Yokohamas from the dealership. I upgraded my rims to 19 inch so I decided ided to get Yokohamas again.

I got the Toyo ultra z900 for my 3, and put 114,000 miles on them. They were only supposed to be 80,000 mile tires. And they still had a bit of tread.

Pros: bit of tread
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 114000 km

Yokohama Geolandar A/T. I picked these out for my mom's Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. They aren't loud, they work well in all weather conditions (reason for getting them was for snow/all season because she doesn't drive enough to warrant snow tires).

Pros: work well in all weather
Cons: aren't loud

I'll give you my experience fwiw... I've run toyo t1r 245/40/18 and falken rt615 225/40/18. First, let me say that if you're going to 245 you need to run 35 series tires, otherwise your OD goes up. Also, stickyness wise it's a better comparison. For me, there is no comparison to the above two tires on the track, the Falkens are far superior. For the street, I'm not too sure. I imagine the Toyo's would last longer.

Pros: Toyo's would last longer

We sold these at the tire center a I worked at. We rarely had a repeat customer get them twice. They always upgraded to the Toyo MT, and that wasn't us being pushy salesmen. We always asked why, and the regular complaints were the loud drone from the tires at freeway speeds and they didn't last for jack under the heavier trucks. 40K miles was on the high side of things.

Cons: loud drone, didn't last
Vehicle: Dodge RAM
