Tires Toyo or YOKOHAMA

YOKOHAMA Tires

Yokohama Advan Apex v601. They have more steering feel than Pilot Sports, will last about as long. Good on the dry and the rain.

Pros: more steering feel
Cons: good on dry, rain

Toyo Proxes R1R is a cheaper option if the car isn't super heavy.

Hindi pa naman kami nabibigo ng Yokohama. Tested na for almost 10 years on different types of cars our family owns - hatchback, sedan, mpv, and suv. Never had an issue naman on all of their models.

Pros: no issues, tested for years

Toyo Tires

Another one here to recommend the Toyo at3’s. On my second set and they have held up nicely through all sorts of different terrain and conditions. They’re a strong tire with a 3ply sidewall and didn’t get any chunking after a weekend rock crawling in Sedona.

Pros: strong tire, held up nicely
Cons: none

I’ve been running Toyo open country AT3 with good luck. Quiet on the pavement, indistinguishable in dry from higher end options, and really good in ice/snow.

Pros: quiet on pavement, good ice/snow

I have these on a 2015 BMW station wagon. They seem pretty good, but I’ve only put a few thousand miles on them. I drive almost exclusively motorway, about 130 km/h and they seem comfortable. I’ve heard good things about Yokohama tread life so I decided to try them.

Pros: seem pretty good
Vehicle: BMW

I vote the Yoko's, I just put a set on my gf's Cherokee and they stick like glue and are quiet. I've had multiple different toyo's in the past and when new they were ok but wore quick and turned into a stone.

Pros: stick like glue, quiet
Cons: toyo's wore quick

Live in PNW - geolanders. Amazing in all weather and great in the highway. Hated my open country’s.

Pros: amazing in all weather
Cons: hated open country’s

YOKOHAMA Tires

Ok..1400milies on them now almost all highway but maybe 100city so far. They are fine. Not as quiet as I thought they'd be...but maybe my drive to Tulsa isn't a good gauge.

Pros: they are fine
Cons: not as quiet
Vehicle: Honda

Toyo Tires

R888Rs don't deserve being called a track tire in my opinion. Decent for the street guys who make power and don't want to replace tires every 2 months, but they can't touch most modern 200TWs. Not to mention they grease up super fast and will fall off halfway through a 20 minute HPDE session.

Pros: decent for street use
Cons: grease up super fast
