I have Toyo AT3s open country on my 15’ Outback. They have been great so far (10k miles). They can be a little noisy but it’s worth it.

Pros: great tire
Cons: a little noisy
Mileage: 16093 km

Wild peaks are pretty quiet, I run Toyo Open Country AT 3 on the rest of my vehicles, not saying more quiet but a good tire also

Vredestein Tires

I live in Minnesota and got these for my Model Y in August 2022. We have 50k miles, two Midwest winters, and Im buying a second set to replace them now. I could MAYBE get another 5-10k miles but I dont risk it here.

Pros: fantastic tires
Mileage: 80467 km

Went with Toyo Proxes R888Rs, 205/45/16s in the front and 225/45/16s in the rear. Quick run around the block and they felt great. They also look pretty good

Pros: felt great, look good

That’s what on my NB right now. I’ve put maybe 3k on them so far and haven’t had issues. I was a little skeptical of them on a Miata since they’re 500 treadwear, but for daily drivers and very limited spirited driving they’re fine. I’ve had the same tire on my wife’s Ford Escape for quite a while and they’ve been great on it, especially wet weather.

Pros: great in wet weather
Cons: skeptical on a Miata
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 3000 km

Toyo Open Country are the only tires I have run for the last 20+years. Across three 4Runners. Close to 500k miles between my ‘98 SR5, ‘05Limited and 2020 ORP. I live in Washington and do quite a bit more off roading than it sounds like you do. The Open County Toyo line has been fantastic off-road, but I love them because they are so quiet and comfortable on the highway for such a capable tire.

Pros: quiet and comfortable
Mileage: 804672 km

They are decent. I’ve ran the AS 4, Proxes and also the Extreme Contact DWS before. I would call the AS 4 and Extreme Contacts a tier 1 All Season tire, and the Proxes tier 2. The Proxes aren’t bad by any means but the dry grip isn’t on the same level as the other two especially at colder temperatures.

Pros: decent, tier 2 tire
Cons: dry grip not great
