Tires Toyo or Nokia

Nokia Tires

225/45R18 Nokians on aluminum Aspen Satin Black rims. Working fine so far, live just Southwest of Toronto though so not too much snow so far.

Pros: working fine so far

Toyo Tires

By contrast, the Toyo Celsius has not only been tested in the winter, but it even performed well on ice. (Well, at least as well on ice as a non-winter tire can possibly do.)

Pros: performed well on ice

Nokia Tires

During the chaos, my set of APTs faced deep puddles, slush, powder snow, deep snow compact snow, and ice, and many hills. Quite the shakedown indeed. But in one word, confidence! I had no problems driving off on a stand-still on either level or uphills, and no problems stopping whatsoever. My car was stable and I was in complete control at all times.

Pros: confidence, stable, complete control
Vehicle: Hyundai
Mileage: 100 km

Nokia Tires

I’m putting Nokian Entyre 2’s on as soon as I need them. I’ve run them on 3 other vehicles and they are fantastic.

Pros: fantastic

Nokia Tires

I had WRG4s on a previous vehicle in Ontario. They are great shoulder season tires, and are manageable in the winter.

Pros: great shoulder season tires
Cons: not good for summer

Toyo Tires

Rating 3.0

I didn't have as much tire noise with the Bridgestones as I do now with my Toyo Proxies ZR4's. These tires can get a bit loud, especially around 40 mph and at 80 mph.

Pros: good handling
Cons: excessive noise
