I recently bought four Nokian Ones for my 2019 Honda Civic EX after reading some really good things about them. I’m now approaching my first year of use and all I can say is that they’re great performing tires. Very little wear showing thus far. Fine traction throughout the year.

Pros: great performing tires, fine traction
Cons: Very little wear
Vehicle: Honda Civic

Had a set on my car that I just sold. In 40000 miles of having them, they were still at 80%. Noise wasn’t bad, and grip was pretty good for what they are (I’m a bit aggressive on highway on/off ramps).

Pros: good grip, not bad noise
Mileage: 64373 km

I went with the Toyo Extensa HP II because it was a good compromise on price/efficiency/grip/noise. My biggest complaint with the OEM tires was that they hydroplaned worse than any tire I’ve had on a car since the 80s and these Toyos are much better. Range is down, maybe, 2-5%, maybe more on longer drives at speed, but EVERYTHING else about these tires is leagues better…ride, handling, noise, braking…everything.

Pros: better ride, handling, braking
Cons: range down 2-5%
Vehicle: Nissan Leaf

You can take a bigger hit in tires alone. For instance, on my stock ContiProContacts, I average 27 mpg with 235/50r18 tires. Same size but with Nokian Z-line A/S, a tire that grips the road much better wet and dry, I'm lucky to hit 25 mpg, usually more like 22 mpg.

Pros: grips road much better
Cons: lower fuel economy

At 30k they became useless when below freezing. Switched to Toyo Open Country and they've been great

Pros: they've been great
Cons: useless when below freezing
Mileage: 30000 km
