I have the RT43 on my Lexus ES300 - time for replacement, if the RT45 a worthy replacement? The RT43's are great with drowning road noise and that's my main decision point aside from safety of course.

Pros: great with drowning road noise
Vehicle: Lexus

GENERAL TIRE Tires

I decided to go with General Altimax RT45 tires. They get good reviews for all around performance, especially in snow. The 75k mile tread warranty isn\u2019t bad, either.

Pros: good all around performance

GENERAL TIRE Tires

I've a set of the 365AW on one car and a set of RT45 on another car, the 365's are amazing in Chicagoland weather. The 45's I have no complaints but would replace them with 365's as they do seem to handle better in all weather conditions.

Pros: no complaints

GENERAL TIRE Tires

Altimax RT45/43 is the best budget tires around, however it's not a match against Bridgestone WeatherPeak.

Pros: best budget tires
Cons: not match WeatherPeak

I also used to have a 2008 Nissan Frontier. I had General Grabber AT-Xs on that truck. Decently comfortable, good load rating (I used that truck for towing), rated for snow, and the tread was good for the light offroading I did. Although being an offroad tire with a somewhat aggressive tread, it was noisy at highway speeds. I didn't really mind, but others might.

Pros: good load rating, comfortable
Cons: noisy at highway speeds
Vehicle: Nissan

The Generals on my car are worlds better than the Pirellis on it before.

The Pirelli P1s were so loud you couldn't have a conversation on the highway, so lacking in grip that a 150hp car could spin the tires in dry conditions. After I went sideways on some wet concrete, I replaced them with General Exclaim tires - their 'sporty' all seasons, all of $50 each from Walmart. It grips like a race car, is quiet and smooth, and tire life is close.

Pros: grips like a racecar
Cons: Pirelli P1s were loud

Sailun Tires

They're fine. They're not the latest in terms of tech, but they have solid wear/traction and are safe and reliable. I used some before when it was the only thing in stock. Worked fine.

Pros: solid wear, safe, reliable
Cons: ride/noise not good
