Pirelli P-zero RS ate my tire of choice now. I think them and the GP5000 are the two best choices from what I've used, with it really coming down to personal preference and whomever has a better sale
I have Nokian Nordman 7 as a dedicated winter tire. Really good. Long wearing. High profile from factory. Good grip. Not too much noise.
I put Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5’s on my wife’s Blazer EV AWD. Even with the AWD, the standard ultra low rolling resistance tires it came with were horrible in the snow and these made a word of difference. I/we are actually confident driving the Blazer in the snow now.
I swap my tires 2 weeks ago on the VB for some Pirelli CINTURATO WeatherActive all weather and \u201cOh boy\u201d they are good for snow. Way better than the DSW06.
I've been impressed with my Nokian NAT Outposts this year. _Plenty_ of offroad traction, 3 peak rated, and they're lighter than Falkens.
2018 SE with VR6 engine and Nokian Hakkas. Great in the snow!
I went with NOKIAN
HAKKAPELIITTA R5. Fantastic tires.
They rebalanced the OEM Continentals with some improvement, but they still vibrated. I replaced the tires at 36k with Pirrellis (sp?). Some improvement with the vibration but still.
Last year I used the factory AT 20s. Traction in snow was ok, but lateral control was absolute garbage. I didn’t feel confident at all.
Had Pirelli’s once I believe they were 80,000 mi rated. I learned a lesson from these. I will never buy ultra high mileage tires again. They don’t ride well and after 3 balances at different places I got rid of them. They rode hard and vibrated.
