Tires Pirelli or Maxxis

Maxxis Tires

I just put some 2.25" Maxxis Ardent TR EXOs on my Trek 29er and they have been awesome so far. Tons of grip compared to the bontragers I had (cheaper ones that came with my bike).

Pros: tons of grip

Pirelli Tires

My clear favourite for our winter is the Pirelli Sottozero 3. It drives exactly like a real summer tire in the dry but is still excellent in the snow.

Pros: excellent in the snow
Cons: pricey

Pirelli Tires

Selling a set of Neuspeed RSe102 wheels (Hyper Black) and Pirelli P ZERO (PZ4) tires. These came off a 2015 Passat B7 and simply transformed the cars handling, very impressive tire and wheel setup.

Pros: very impressive setup
Mileage: 4000 km

I ran a set of pzero nero and they were ok too, but they lost grip very early in life and got noisy. They say MS rated but they could barely handle any slush at all without squirming.

Pros: were ok
Cons: lost grip, got noisy

Rating 2.0

The stock Pirelli Cinturato P7s were quite worn at 29K miles...the poorest wearing tire Ive ever experienced in nearly 4 million miles of driving. What I liked about the Pirellis: Very good steering feel Very good dry grip Quite comfortable What I did not like about the Pirellis: Very poor wet grip 29K miles is a bit dismal

Pros: very good steering feel
Cons: very poor wet grip
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 29000 km
