Tires Pirelli or Kormoran

Pirelli Tires

I fitted the same tires this summer on my Audi A5. UK, Essex. Very pleased with them for now, done about 3000 mls on them. My only concern about this tires is life expectancy.

Pros: very pleased
Cons: concern about life expectancy
Vehicle: Audi A5
Mileage: 4828 km

Pirelli Tires

I've tested them on track at 30c. Not ideal but they're not going to pop.

They'll be fine at -10c too, we're usually testing below that.

Pros: fine at -10c
Cons: not ideal at 30c

I've just bought the Pirelli Cinturato All Season SF3 for my car (Mazda 3 2.0 186hp). I live in south of Germany where there isn't much snow and the temperatures are mostly around -5 to 10C from December to March. The summer tyres I've got with the car (Toyo Proxes R51A) are actually worse on wet than most premium all seasons (at least according to the label), so I'm losing "just" some of the dry grip in the summer. I drive only like 6-7k km/year. For now they feel surprisingly good (around 5-10C outside) especially in wet - actually not much different than the UHP Hankook summer tyres I had on my previous car (were probably a complete overkill for the car).

Pros: surprisingly good in wet
Cons: losing some dry grip
Vehicle: Mazda 3

GP5000 S-TR are a bit lighter/thinner than PZero Race - thus LESS puncture resistant.

so, stick with PZero Race ;)

Pros: stick with PZero Race
Cons: less puncture resistant

Pirelli tires are not perfect. But at least gives better and consistent feeling on the front according to the riders. But their compounds tend to wear more compared to michelin.

Pros: better consistent feeling
Cons: compounds wear more

Pirelli Tires

My last car was a bmw M4 and it came with Pirelli p zeros. They were great in warm dry conditions but not great in the rain. They are summer tires so no grip at all under 40 degrees. They only lasted 12000 miles before they were under 4/32.

Pros: great in warm conditions
Cons: no grip in rain
Vehicle: BMW M4
Mileage: 12000 km

I can tell you the Pirelli have a very low durability and are not recommended if you’re not planning to spend a significant amount of time on the track.

Cons: very low durability

Pirelli Tires

I replaced mine at 27k miles. They were wearing very fast so it was barely early, but their snow traction is so bad i didn't want them for another winter. Awful tires.

Pros: null
Cons: awful tires, bad traction
Mileage: 43452 km

I know this is an old thread, but I looked up this issue because I just got new tires put on the Tesla Model Y Performance. I am having a very similar issue so I thought I'd look it up. Ironically, the tires I'm having questions about are the Pirelli P Zero AS Plus 3s.

Cons: similar issue
