Tires OEM Mazda or NANKANG

That being said, the CR-S is an incredible tire if your focus is driving on dry tracks. I found wear to be good with very consistent laptimes, it doesn‘t overheat easily, which is something I very much enjoy. Being able to push for many laps with the tire staying consistent and predictable is quite a treat if you ask me. Performance in the wet however isn‘t really good.

These tires wear like iron for me. They're fantastic.

The Nankangs are good

Tested on a 2018 AMG GT R in Porsche Ring, Audru, Estonia. So far I'm liking the CRS more. Price is the same as Cup 2, but it's faster and doesn't seem to be worse on street.

We also have good experience with Nankang on smaller cars. I have not tried them on bigger cars yet. They are a bit more noisy than the Vitour tires, but the white stripe on them seems to hold up a little bit better. But there is still no problem keeping them white.

The Nankang NS20 wears well on track and has oK grip, but in the past I've found it to have a somewhat tricky balance around the limit. GReat for learning how to drive, but again it's not the best tyre in the wet so on the road it might not be ideal.

In my limited experience with them i'd say that they are marginally better than Toyo's r888r over a single lap but require some tuning set up to not overheat.

I have a set of Nankangs on my Ghia. They are a decent tire, but don't expect tons of grip from them, and they're pretty hard.

I club race an NA Miata and I'm $40k in before you count recurring costs like tires, fuel, entry fees, etc. Its an expensive sport!

stock tires are garbage awd turbo here. New tires bring it alive much better confidence in the hard corners and way better in the wet
