We changed our Yoko's out at 1300 miles. Very happy with the General 365AW's we replaced them with, they handle almost as well in the snow as the Michelin XiceSnow tires on our other car.

Pros: happy with General tires
Mileage: 1300 km

For my SE in PNW:

~April until ~October: Stock 16” victory + stock hankooks. Great range and fine in spring/summer. No complaints until it gets cold.

~October until ~April: A second “refurbished” set of 16” victory spoke + nokian wr g4. Not enough winter for proper winter tires. They are great when it’s cold and wet, did fine in slushy melting soft ice. When the weather is nice these are way too noisy and reduced range is noticeable.

Pros: great when cold and wet
Cons: too noisy, reduced range
Vehicle: MINI

All weather tires are a thing now, they’re between a dedicated winter tire and all season. They tend to do just as well in the snow as a dedicated winter tire but not as well on ice, but still better than an all season. The best part is they’re meant to be run all year round and are incredible in the rain as well. They do tend to be a little noisier than an all season and have a bit of tread squirm which you can feel on turn in. I run them on my daily and as soon as I hit the brakes for the first time in the snow I was completely sold, never going back to all seasons again.

Pros: incredible in the rain
Cons: noisier than all season
Vehicle: MINI

Nokia Tires

I have two sets of wheel and one set has Nokian Hakkapeliittas on them. Run them from about Nov 1 to Apr 1. And it’s really fun on snow days to be the only small car among a crowd of pickups and SUVs.

Pros: fun on snow days

The ice performance of studless snow tires is undeniable. But if you live in an area where winter is mostly rain and powdered snow. Without much icy roads or compacted snow. Nordic winters are not for you. Stick with performance winters or all weathers. The rain performance just isn't there.

Pros: undeniable ice performance
Cons: poor rain performance

Nokia Tires

I have them, studded. They’re a fantastic winter tire. Best winter tire I’ve ever run. I’ve tried blizzaks, Goodyear Nordic ice, Michelin x ice, and some crappy Chinese brands.

This is my first year on them and they perform well on sheer ice, hard packed snow, slush, and everything in between. Highly recommended.

Pros: fantastic winter tire

Nokia Tires

I've had Nokian Hockeypilates before and they are absolutely a competent tire, easily on par with the Blizzaks (if not a little better in some areas).

Pros: competent tire

I had a set of Nokian Rotiivas with similar cracking, 30k miles on them and 50% tread left, but the tires were 5 years old. I had a blow out and nearly flipped my truck. Replace them

Pros: 50% tread left
Cons: blow out, nearly flipped
Mileage: 48280 km
