I have the ridge grapplers on my stock 4Runner. What little off-roading I’ve done has been good. Not so great on wet pavement. They are quiet while still looking super aggressive.
I’ve had both and prefer the Nitto. Super quiet, aggressive look, and the performance is awesome, so far.
285/65/18 XL Ridge grapps here.
From my research, best weight to load capacity to performance ratios.
Probably will buy again.
I’m rolling on the RG’s I love them very quite relative to tread. They have performed quite well in many off-road scenarios sure they’re a little heavier, but they look sick and perform amazing
I run the nt555r2’s, worth every penny. Night and day difference in traction.
Mine is so great in the city, can whip a U-turn anywhere and gets 30-35 MPG no matter how you drive it. I am kind of sad you can't get cars like this anymore, but it is kind of hard to justify when something that's an order of magnitude more refined is only like $1500 more. But there is something fun about ripping around in something 153" long that only weighs 2300 lbs. It never needs brakes and doesn't eat up tires no matter how "spiritedly" I drive.
I’ve never used them on a Miata, but I’ve gone through two sets on my Jetta GLI and another set on a big-turbo Audi A4. I think they’re fantastic for the price. Perfect balance of grip and longevity. They’re not the greatest in heavy rain or standing water but they’ll do the job if you take it easy. Obviously not something you’ll want to run in the snow although I did this year due to laziness (couldn’t make it up my driveway). I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another set.
I've got nt01's on my mr2 and they're ok at lower speeds in rain.
I swear at my nitto 555 G2’s…….They spin through 4th…
I do not recommend
Looks like these are gonna be the top contender for my next set of tires. The Nitto Terra Grapplers I currently have are horrible in the rain.
