I've had both. I prefer the Ridge Grapplers because I'm more interested in offroad performance, but had no issues with the terra grapplers and they were much cheaper.
I have Ridge Grapplers on my Tacoma and 4Runner and haven’t had any issues with them. Do great in the snow and quiet for daily driving.
I’ve actually had both and much prefer the RG. I’m on my second set. It’s more aggressive yet surprisingly quiet.
Terra Grappler G2 is a great tire for all-around use. I drive 90% of the time on pavement and 10% on trails and sandy terrains here in Florida. I had my Terra Grapplers for about a year now and haven’t had any issues so far. Not too aggressive either where it gets really loud on highway driving and steering wheel starts to vibrate. ????
I have the Ridge Grapplers on my truck and love them. They ride smooth on the road and really aren't that noisy at all. I was pleasently surprised with how nice they are.
I’ve had both. Liked the grapplers better and run them currently. They perform better in the rain. That’s pretty much the only difference I was able to notice
That said Nitto Ridge Grapplers are a good compromise. Considered a ‘Mud Terrain hybrid’ but have great street manners.
I have the Giti's on my R-Line, and they are....barely adequate. I doubt I will wait long to replace them since I do a good bit of highway driving. They are noisy, so I will at least give them a few thousand miles to see how they wear and sound.
I now have the nittos that came with the 4Runner and absolutely hate them.
I had them on my JKU when I bought it. I drove the Jeep home and to the tire shop two days later to replace them with Toyos. Extremely overpriced tire for the ride quality and handling.
