Tires NANKANG or Sailun

NANKANG Tires

So to create some perspective, my AR1’s on a small light car (Miata), lasted for 5 track days. Assuming an average of 20 mins per session, and around four sessions in morning and four in afternoon, we can assume I’m doing around 160 minutes or driving per day. So in theory I put 13 hours on those tyres!

Pros: lasted for 5 track days
Cons: need to cool down
Vehicle: Mazda

Sailun Tires

I've run a set of Ice Blazers the last 3 winters, and they've performed very well on cold/snowy/icy Canadian roads. They are a great value-for-money winter tire.

Pros: great value for money

Sailun Tires

I just replaced my tires a couple months ago with the Sailun eRange EV and like them so far. I haven't had any drop in range. I think the noise level might be slightly more if anything.

Pros: no drop in range
Cons: slightly more noise

Sailun Tires

As someone who buys Michelins for all my vehicles, I recently purchased a set of used wheels and tires for my Tundra with Chinese brand Sailun tires on them and I actually love them.

Pros: love them

I’ve used Nankang plenty of times on my older cars, they were fine. Drove fine in wet, drove fine in dry, no louder than any other tires.

Pros: drove fine in wet
Cons: no emergency braking situations
Vehicle: Volkswagen

NANKANG Tires

These are the Nankang CRS tires, saw similar wear pattern from the RT660s as well (in fact that kind of just chunked away leaving rings of cords).

Cons: chunked away, rings of cords
Vehicle: Chevrolet

Can’t speak for the GT, but the WSL2 is a mediocre tire. A friend of mine used those, and they worked, but were noisy when I rode in his car. He never complained about traction though.

Pros: they worked
Cons: tire is mediocre, noisy

NANKANG Tires

Generally the folks I 4x4 with tend to avoid cheap small company tires like Radar, Atturo, and Nankang because some of em have had bad luck balancing them, even after spinning it on the rim. The quality control of the small companies isn't up to par with someone like Nitto or BFG so you get what you pay for.

Cons: bad balancing, poor quality control

NANKANG Tires

I ran Nankangs for a while, they were fine as long as it was dry, which it is only 10% of the time here. Slipped in slides all over in the wet.

Pros: fine when dry
Cons: slipped in wet
