Tires MICHELIN or Toyo

MICHELIN Tires

I replaced my 21 Elantra OEM Kumho tires at 25k; although, they certainly could’ve gone a while longer but I had recently moved north and they weren’t cutting it in the snow.

Put some Michelin CrossClimate 2’s on it and haven’t looked back. Great tires.

Pros: great tires
Cons: weren’t cutting it
Mileage: 25000 km

The CrossClimates are wonderful tire. I just put on a few 100km of light off road as you requested and no issues at all. They are wonderful in rain and snow. The only downsides would be: unidirectional and the aggressive thread pattern seems to suck up the rocks pretty good. But if you do mostly highway, these truly are an all climate tire.

Pros: wonderful in rain, snow
Cons: unidirectional, sucks up rocks
Mileage: 100 km

For the last year and a half I have had toyo AT3s and I like them. They are not too loud, they work alright on ice (with weight) and seem to work well in mud, snow and rain.

Pros: not too loud, works well
Cons: works alright on ice

MICHELIN Tires

Michelin Pilot Sport 4. Am avut si Michelin Primacy, dar s-au scumpit si au ajuns aproape cat PS4, asa ca am luat PS4. Cele mai bune anvelope pe care le-am avut.

Pros: Cele mai bune anvelope

If you want a standard tire and not oversized or off-road, you can’t do better than Michelin defenders. The just don’t wear, and they’re great all over Colorado. I take them camping and I get less noise and good gas mileage on road, and I’ve never been stuck offroad. Great in the snow too.

Pros: less noise, good mileage

both my AS3+ and AS4’s did indeed make a distinct road noise. None with the Conti’s.

Pros: no road noise (Conti)
Cons: distinct road noise (Michelin)

Toyo Tires

Anecdotal, but I bought a 2022 CX5 earlier this year and it came with Toyo tires on it. My rear driver side tire literally BLEW UP while I was driving 75mph to work at 4 in the morning. It was so bad that there was nothing left of the tire except a couple inches of the side wall around the wheel. I had 8200 miles on the tires.

Pros: pretty quiet
Cons: tire literally blew up
Vehicle: Mazda
Mileage: 8200 km
