Decided to remove the Run Flat tires and upgraded to Michelin Crossclimate 2 tires. Immediately I could tell how much better the car drives. Smoother and quieter. Really looking forward to winter.
Loving my new Crossclimate 2s. Was worried they would impact my range, but they haven't. Fantastic grip in all conditions.
I just put Michelin Defenders on my car, replacing the original Bridgestone Alenza.
I guess they aren't considered EV tires but they are doing well as far as I can tell. My range hasn't taken a hit at all.
I found a good deal online for some Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires. My local Discount Tire shop price matched the online deal. They’ve been surprising good on the highway and have been great in snow, too.
I just drove home from the shop after replacing my stock 20" Goodyear Eagles with Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus Elects with PCNS... WHAT A DIFFERENCE IN RIDE QUALITY!!!! HOLY COW! I HAD to share this!
With the Eagles, road noise was not as quiet as it should be with an EV and the ride quality was harsh...I really felt EVERY bump in the road, no matter the size.
After driving only 30 miles with these Pirellis today, all I can say is, "WOW!" I am impressed! Not only is the drive MUCH quieter, but the ride is not as harsh either! If I could rate it, somehow, I'd say the Pirellis are 30-40% less harsh than the Eagles...it is that noticeable. No second-guessing needed!
There are a lot of anecdotes out there that the foam doesn't make a dimes difference in noise levels. I'll add to them that when I replaced mine with Michelins fro Costco the noise level actually went down.
Personally I'm a Michelin guy. Have used both on my cars and would only go Michelin from here on out
MYLR owner here. Replaced OEM continentals at 35k miles with Costco Michelin PS AS4. Much quieter and ride was more comfortable over potholes. Initial 2-3k miles I had a drop in efficiency but after that the efficiency has been the same or perhaps better than original continentals. It's also much better with handling in almost all conditions ie snow, rain and summer.
These are cool looking... notably the tires are not as good for street riding and you can replace them with those sweet michelin city grips. The brake pads are also not so thick on these so keep an eye on them.
I am about to sell my Michelin ice x snows. I do not like them. They slide more then they should.
