Tires MICHELIN or Nokia

MICHELIN Tires

The PS4S that replaced the OEM Bridgestone Potenzas on my 370Z are lasting about twice as long, are quieter and are as grippy. The only drawback to this particular tire is its less stiff sidewall, making the steering less precise.

Pros: long lasting, quieter, grippy
Cons: less stiff sidewall

I just put on the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4s through discount tire. My all in cost was $1,100.

They are a great all around tire. The grip feels much better than the OEM tires. The biggest downside in my opinion is a ~4% drop in range. I’d prefer having the performance and safety over slightly longer range.

Pros: great all around tire, better grip
Cons: drop in range

I run Michelin X-Ice studded tires here for our Northern Finland winters.

On snow covered back roads, it might as well be dry, that's how good they are. Stopping, cornering, no issues at all while driving normal to lightly spirited.

Pros: good on snow, good stopping

I've driven a friends' Tesla that had Continental tires and followed a few advices on Reddit and changed them for Michelins... the difference is day and night: grip is better, road noise is noticeably lower.

Pros: better grip, lower noise

I would highly recommend - Michelin X-ICE Snow Blizzak WS90 Either are phenomenal tires for snow & ice. I have used multiple Blizzak WS series for my EVO 8/9/10s and STi's, and used the X-ICE on the last 3 STi's I had. I plan on using the Michelin X-ICE on the factory wheels on my 2022 GTI S, because I like the better cornering stability of the sidewall vs. Blizzak...the Blizzak's have an extremely soft sidewall, and if you corner too hard it feels like the tires just want to roll over. Remember to take them off once it gets above 40 degrees otherwise you are going to wear the tread out quickly because the cell material is so soft.

Pros: phenomenal tires for snow
Cons: Blizzak soft sidewall

when my older daughter got her license I got her the best Nokian Hakkapeliitta I could find, and she was very happy with them all winter.

Pros: very happy with them

Nokia Tires

Running Nokian Hakka R2 on the CX-5 and Vredestein Wintrac on the Focus same as last year. Usually don't swap until Thanksgiving though. On a related note, I think these are the last dedicated winter tires I'm going to buy. I've been running two sets for 10 years now and even in the snowier years, I don't feel like it's been worth it in this part of Ohio. The new All Weather tires seem like they've done a good job with snow/ice, yet still keeping dry/wet traction to decent levels. I've got my eye on the Michelin CrossClimates going forward.

I can echo the feelings of the dry pavement handling, coming around a corner with a bit of enthusiasm you can feel the car start to slide around. I'm sure once the snow and ice come the trade-off will be justified, but fairly unnerving in the dry to say the least.

Cons: car start to slide
