Tires MICHELIN or Nokia

MICHELIN Tires

I’ve run Michelins on the car in the past(cost me a good $1200 for all 4) but they lasted a long time and had great grip in both the dry and the wet

Pros: lasted a long time, great grip

Nokia Tires

I have Blizzaks ws80s on my Focus ST, and hakkas on my wife's Edge. When the Blizzaks are done, Hakkas are going on.

My previous car was a Legacy wagon on studless Hakkas . Driving in crappy Alberta winters was a complete non-event.

Pros: complete non-event
Vehicle: Ford Edge

I’m a fan of the CC2’s. I have them on all my cars. I did take a 5-10% range hit versus the OEM Conti’s but grip (especially wet & snow) is soooo much better.

Pros: better grip, wet and snow
Cons: 5-10% range hit
Mileage: 36000 km

Nokia Tires

I run Nokian winter tires on my vehicles. They've been nothing short of spectacular through more than a decade of driving the Northern Rockies in winter. This is excellent news!

Pros: spectacular winter performance

I have Nokian WRG4 on my Chevy Cruze , and just bought some Michelin Crossclimate 2 for my other Cruze. I'll know in a couple months how well I like them both. I love the WRG4 so far but have only a tiny amount of experience with them in the snow.

Pros: love the WRG4
Cons: tiny snow experience

I drive my RWD performance summer tires in sub freezing temps when it’s dry out, WITH caution. It will be like using hard plastic tires. No sudden shift in weight please!

Pros: drove in sub freezing temps
Cons: like hard plastic tires
Vehicle: BMW Z4
