Tires MICHELIN or NITTO

MICHELIN Tires

I have a set of Pilot Sport AS4’s and they’ve been great for the ~7k miles, they’re the best tires for the wet that I’ve ever driven, and they handle alright-ish in snow

Pros: great for wet conditions
Cons: handle alright-ish in snow
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 7000 km

Michelin Cross Climate 2/3 are probably some of the BEST all seasons you can get.

At the price point, in my opinion, the Michelin is just not worth the extra money. The ps all season 4 and dws06+ trade blows all day on what they excel in.

Pros: performance in all respects
Cons: not worth the money

Consider getting a good set of all-season tires. I have a 2wd Honda Civic that does great in snow because it has FWD and great tires. Michelin Cross-Climate are what I have and are one of the best.

Pros: great in snow, one of the best
Vehicle: Honda Civic

I got Michelin Cross Climate 2. I expected them to be so so compared to the Pilot 4 Summer I had on, but I’ve been really pleasantly surprised. They’re a bit softer (not always a bad thing) and they make me feel so much more confident and safe in cold weather.

Pros: more confident, safe in cold
Cons: a bit softer

MICHELIN Tires

After 2 years and 20k miles my cross climate 2 started to lose traction on ice. Still at 8/32nds though.

Pros: 8/32nds tread left
Cons: loses traction on ice
Mileage: 32186 km

No. I live in Michigan and was severely disappointed with the Michelin CC2. The packed-snow braking, and lateral grip leave a LOT to be desired. In our neighborhood with packed snow the car just slid… And slid… and kept sliding. Even my wife exclaimed “aren’t these new tires” lol. The packed-snow and Ice traction is no different than a basic all-season tire. The only thing these tires excelled at is deep-puddles and rain, they really shed water fast.

Pros: shed water fast
Cons: poor snow braking
