Tires MICHELIN or Laufenn

MICHELIN Tires

I had the cross climate2 installed last fall and I'm very happy with them. I researched all season tires and found more positive information on the cc2 than others.

Pros: very happy with them

I think such soft compound can go over the recommended 5-6 year. I have run similar tires (Michelin PSS) tires for 10 years without trouble.

Pros: soft compound, long lasting

Michelin Defender LTX get a big vote from me if the vehicle is a pavement pounder. They're fantastic in the rain and snow, and wear great, too.

Pros: fantastic in rain, wear great

I ran the Michelin Defender LTX on our 2017 Explorer and they were great, long wearing, good in the rain and quiet. Not a sporty tire at all though.

Pros: long wearing, good in rain
Cons: not a sporty tire

My Primacy's only lasted 27K miles on my sr+. Sure they had good EV range, and decent handling, but couldn't even last 30K miles.

Pros: good EV range, decent handling
Cons: did not last
Mileage: 27000 km

Bottom line for me, the Michelins haven't stood up in the desert heat and I've had them as OEM tires on a few vehicles. By 25,000 - 30,000 miles the rubber is cracking. How safe is that? Once again, I'm just sharing my perspective from my personal experience. Everyone else can do what they think is right.

Cons: cracking in heat
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 25000 km
