No idea about prices and avaliability where you are but as far as winter tyres go I recommend Michelin and Nokian.
Michelin Pilot Sport all-seasons have been my chosen tire for the last year and a half, and I am really happy with them! Loads of grip, however because I opted for 225s, I hydroplane sometimes on standing water
Very early notice here but just got my VW back from the dealer. They put replacement LS2's on and road/force balanced. Test drove and had the steering wheel shake. Well, after reading it and finding the shakes still there with new LS2’s, they borrowed a set of Latitudes off another Touareg on site. No shakes.
Currently on PSSs. Phenomenal tire. Had PS2s on the 330 and they wore very well. Yes the rears were gone at 30K, but the fronts were still at 5/32s.
I have Michelin PA3 now and used them last winter. Not problems at all, they are definitely great on snow, ice, AND tarmac. They feel very very close to the stock AS and don't eat too much fuel economy.
I went with Michelin Xice Xi2 on 16" elbrus alloys from Tirerack, and the good ol' bi-yearly self-o change-o. Comfortable, safe, quiet... no complaints
these are excellent in all areas so far, road noise is non-existent, they're great in the rain, and sticky on dry pavement.
Michelin primacy mxv4's love this tire. great handling in wet and dry conditions. very nice smooth quiet ride.
Bought Primacy MXV4's as my next tire. Never regretted it.
I recently replaced the stock tires with Michelin Primacy MXM4 and this thing is now QUIET. It's amazing how quiet it is even over rough surfaces and at highway speeds.
