Michelin Road 5, no complaints, reliable.
Personally I'm currently rolling with Michelin EcoSomethingsomething. Also Continental and Nokian are quite premium brands.
I went with the michelin defender ltx m/s on my 2016 with 22" rims. Been very satisfied so far.
The CrossClimate2 are excellent all-season tires. In fact, putting their all-weather capability aside, they're simply excellent even as far as 3-season tires go. So think of them as premium 3-season tires with extra winter capability.
I have recently installed michelin cross climate 2 and I am very happy with them. It is well worth the investment.
Personally I have Michelin crossclimate+ on my prius (they don't have crossclimate 2 in my size) and love them.
Michelin. Always Michelin.
The only time I've ever hydroplaned was on Goodyears.
I returned them with no problem and bought pilot sport all seasons. They arrived in good shape with mfg date of March this year ????
Now have a 2014 mustang gt with michelin as3+ and they were decent ..even though they were worn down ..got as4 when they came out around I think June 2020? Felt good on the rears . But I guess like all tires take a bit warming up when cold . Felt some slipping only 4k miles in...but I am a lead foot ..understatement as well.
I swear by myselfthat those tires SUCK!!! Consider that they came stock on my gsr wen it was stock and torqueless and well come rain, come slipping on a normal turn with a car that didn't produce any torque below 5k rpms as opposed to a gti below 2k rpm..
