I have driven my previous car on the CC2, and I couldn't recommend them enough. The weather conditions we get here are exactly like yours, with the roads mostly pretty bad, and I never had any issues. Durable tires, driven on them for about 3 years, and covered around 30k km on them, and had plenty of thread left (sorry, don't know exactly how much). The guy that bought the car from me is still using them. Great in dry and rain, and very confident in snow. Quiet too.

Pros: durable, great in dry/rain/snow, quiet
Mileage: 30000 km

I have CC2 and they are exceptional pretty much in all conditions. They struggle in hot weather, especially braking and they sometimes spin.

Pros: exceptional in all conditions
Cons: struggle in hot weather, sometimes spin

From my own experience the CrossClimate 2 is amazing. I bought them this spring, so I haven’t had the chance to see them perform in winter but I’m really confident with them. I’ve driven them a lot in 35+ Celsius on highways and saw no damage or excessive wear at all. They’re outstanding in the snow but give up some wet performance but I still loved them in the rain.

Pros: amazing, no damage, outstanding in snow
Cons: give up some wet performance

You need winter tires. Good solid TRUE winters (not all seasons). That does way more than any large car. I’d take an old sedan with four new Michelin winter tires over a new suv with regular all seasons any day.

Pros: good solid performance, superior to all-seasons

I run all seasons. Live in CT and weather is constantly bouncing between 50-60F during the day and freezing at night in the spring and fall, so swapping to full snows is pretty annoying. Michelin AS4's, I can barely tell a difference in dry weather between them and OEM Pirellis. They're not amazing in the snow but it doesn't usually stick for more than a day or two here. They are great in the rain.

Pros: great in the rain
Cons: not amazing in snow

I bought these for my Lexus replacing latitudes, went to Lexus got an alignment, put it on the road to Tennessee probably 4-500 ish miles one way. They were pretty grippy on the back roads, but highway driving was just to loud for me. So I took them back within the 1000 mile guarantee, when I got back from Tennessee and got a new set of latitudes. They are good tires for sure but they are also directional tires so that's where you get the bit of road noise. But they do have hella grip.

Pros: pretty grippy, hella grip
Cons: too loud, directional tires
Vehicle: Lexus
Mileage: 500 km

I’m on the defenders and I hate the road noise when it rains. It makes a shepherd’s tone when I accelerate.

Cons: hates road noise, noisy in rain
