I have Michelin PA3 now and used them last winter. Not problems at all, they are definitely great on snow, ice, AND tarmac. They feel very very close to the stock AS and don't eat too much fuel economy.

Pros: great on snow, ice
Cons: close to stock AS
Vehicle: Volkswagen

I went with Michelin Xice Xi2 on 16" elbrus alloys from Tirerack, and the good ol' bi-yearly self-o change-o. Comfortable, safe, quiet... no complaints

Pros: comfortable, safe, quiet

I recently replaced the stock tires with Michelin Primacy MXM4 and this thing is now QUIET. It's amazing how quiet it is even over rough surfaces and at highway speeds.

Pros: now QUIET, quiet over rough surfaces

We ditched the OEM Bridgestone Dueler HT 684II which is the worst tire on the road today with some Michelin Energy LX4s at around 50k, and that made a hige difference in sound, handling, and ride comfort.

Pros: improved sound, handling, comfort
Cons: worst tire on road
Mileage: 80467 km

The sumitomos are no longer available. I found a website that has some Fulda's and Continentals in the size we like. They are more expensive, but better than the sumies.

Pros: better than Sumitomo tires
Cons: more expensive

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. I have these on my Jetta right now and my god I freaking love them! So much better than those crappy Bridgestones EL-400 that came with the car.

Pros: I freaking love them
