I have a 2002 Explorer Eddie Bauer that I love. Fantastic vehicle, and we call her "Dora" (the Explorer.) I put Michelin Defender LTX M/S on mine. Works wonderfully, and since my family loves it too, the Michelins bring peace of mind since they are comfortable, tough, and have excellent traction wet and dry (I've not tried snow since it doesn't snow in SoCal.)

Pros: comfortable, tough, excellent traction

I literally just put these on my 2016 Kia Soul and have not noticed any difference in road noise or loudness. I find the ride just as comfortable or more than the Kumho Solus stock tires they replaced. They are quiet and the grip I get gives me great confidence so far driving on dry and pouring rain this past week in Pennsylvania. I highly recommend the new Michelin’s at least in initial quality with less than 100 miles on.

Pros: quiet, great grip
Cons: no difference in noise
Vehicle: Kia Soul
Mileage: 100 km

I really like Michelin tires. Their wild enduro tires have more highspeed and cornering grip than anything else that I've tested.

Pros: highspeed and cornering grip

I just put the a/s 4s on my turbo. They’re perfect so far, no noisier than the stock tires. Car handles even better now, and I loved how it handled off the lot.

Pros: perfect handling, not noisy
Vehicle: Mazda

Firestone Tires

After looking into it a bit I went with a set of Firestone Indy500s that mounted and balanced came out to less than $800. Had them for 6 months now, and no complaints so far.

Pros: no complaints so far

Firestone Tires

As far as Indycar goes, it is hard to find a more prestigious tire company than Firestone. They have been a good partner to the Series for a long time.

Pros: good partner, prestigious

I have Michelin Xi3's. I can't recommend them if you care about your car's performance at all. If you don't GAF then these are fine. Probably ideal for a Prius. They work fine in snow, the brakes work on ice, and the ride is alright. That's all the praise I can give them.

Pros: work fine in snow, brakes work on ice
Cons: poor performance, not recommended

I swear, this is the worst tire I have ever encountered in my entire life. Sure it rides smooth and soft, and makes almost no noise whatsoever, but is SUCKS as a tire! The tire gives up traction all the time. It totally destroys my confidence when driving my 2003 GTI 1.8T Sport.

Pros: rides smooth, makes no noise
Cons: gives up traction
Vehicle: Volkswagen
Mileage: 20000 km
