Always go for Michelin if road noise is an important point for you.
Another vote for Alpins. I live in Colorado at 8000' elevation with over 300\" of snow...Avid skier etc and would never run anything else. The tire is so good in everything I literally run them all year round, carving canyons in July...rain every day in Oct/April...snowy commutes to the hospital in the middle of the night in Jan: no problem. It rocks in everything!
I think they're the best I use it for my 2009 Yamaha Zuma 125 love them
Just put one of these on the rear, very happy with it so far
100% agree. Have used’m exclusively for 6 years on my Yamaha XMax 400 ABS. Consistently reliable and when paired with ABS you’re good to go in any weather or surface. Worth every penny.
My 2022 Forza came with the City Grip 1 but I poped my rear tire and the dealserchip got me a City Grip 2.
I read a lot of comments saying they lack grip but I never had any issues. Heck ! I even drove in 5cm deep water with them (albait slow and cautiously) and they never failed me.
That being said I also ran Michelin and they handle extremely well in the snow.
Love love love my Alpins. They are no Blizzaks but the fact that they drive incredibly well in the cold dry roads adds so much pleasure to winter driving. I also don't need to commute so I just hang out for a day while they plow. They handle mild snow fine too
They’re meh, I went from having Michelin crossclimates on my 2010 to the OEM tires on my new OB. They do OK in snow, good in rain.
I hated my pilots on my r3 they didn’t have much confidence to them did a lot of sliding, changed to Pirelli Diablo ll and never looked back
