Tires Maxxis or Hifly

Maxxis Tires

Rekon for the rear - Forecaster for the front. Super light - super fast - and good for all scenarios other than wet mud.

Pros: super light, super fast
Cons: other than wet mud

I’m 84 kg, use Maxxis tires with an 2.5 Assegai EXO+ tire up front and a 2.4 DHR II DoubleDown casing in the rear. I ride and race reasonably hard/fast. I’m using 22/23, but when I have an EXO+ casing out back I have to up that a couple psi to keep from denting my rim.

Pros: good grip, hard/fast riding
Cons: rim denting

Maxxis Tires

I've had a good string of flats on my DTHs, but they're such a great tyre otherwise that I could never be mad at them. They're also so big and floppy they're a breeze to remove, unlike most "puncture resistant" tyres.

Pros: great tyre, easy remove
Cons: good string of flats

Maxxis Tires

I had 2.6 on mine and hated them. Too draggy heavy and slow. Switched to 2.4 all round and it's much more responsive in corners. I'm running Maxxis Ardent exo. No good for wet sloppy stuff, but great for dry or gritty trails.

Pros: more responsive in corners
Cons: no good for wet

My maxxis tires usually last max 350miles in rear. My last dissector neede to be ditched after ~150-200 miles since knobs ripped apart.

Cons: knobs ripped apart
Mileage: 350 km
