I have them on my 2017 Mazda 6. I have no issues with the tires. At 70mph there is very little road noise. They feel a little softer then the Dunlops. They kind of remind me of the Cooper CS5 I had on my old Mazda 6.
I just got Achilles atr sport 2's. They are summer tires, and I got a staggered set of 4 for 19" wheels for less than $300 shipped. The dry grip is excellent I'm very happy with them, great value.
Achilles, their cheap and have never failed on me
my Achilles ATR Sport 2 last forever in the rear and have good grip
I've been recommended Achilles ATR Sport 2 by literally all of my friends. I've had Pilot Super Sports before, and the Achilles handle extremely similar while intense driving. I'd say they last just as long as well.
I've pushed those achilles so hard and there is still practically no wear! still trying to make these fit proper, some more fender rolling is needed.
I have had these on for a few weeks. They are super quiet and have an amazing ride.
I have a st of Laufenns on my old beater Outback. So far, they seem to be ok for routine commuting. Are they performance tires? Heck no, but they do what I need them to do on dry roads and wet ones.
I have used that brand i linked before though, and they are ok. I wouldnt put them on a track car or go 150mph in them, but they are fine for your average daily.
I wouldn't recommend Achilles tires in general. The bare tire (unmounted) flat-spotted under its own weight.
