Tires Kumho or Nokia

Nokia Tires

I have Nokian WRG5s on mine. The first set lasted 89,000 km - right to what they were supposed to. The new ones are rated good until 100,000. I've only got about 15,000km on these ones so too early to tell but tread depth is good.

Pros: good tread depth
Cons: lose some range
Vehicle: Hyundai
Mileage: 15000 km

Kumho Tires

If they are anywhere close to as bad as the Kumhos that came on my GLI, your not going to have a good time. Get some Michelin Cross Climate 2s. they are supposed to be the best all around tire available.

Pros: best all around tire
Cons: not going to have a good time
Vehicle: Volkswagen

As for the ride, it is very quiet and more comfortable with the larger sidewall vs the 22. The road noise is about the same as the OEM, which is good as I moved to a more aggressive AT tread, which I expected to be louder. It is surprisingly quiet.

Pros: very quiet, more comfortable
Cons: acceleration a bit slower

my Nokian One's are better than the OEM Michelin Primacy and Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 4 that I tried.

Pros: better than OEM

If you are looking for something cheaper,

Kumho Majesty 9 solus can also be an option

Their noise around the same level as top brand grand tourinf tires... like pirelli p7 as 3 or micherlin mxv4, continental pure contact.

very good at dry weather and acceptable at wet,

ride quality is good, but soso steering response.

Snow traction is vevevevery bad with this tire, almost the level if summer tire, but its georgia.

personally, I liked it.

Pros: good ride quality
Cons: soso steering response

Kumho Tires

I decided to swap the OEM Kumho tires for a set of CC2s with just 350 miles on the car.

My butt sensor says the CC2s ride a lot more softly than the OEM Kumhos. The ride feels more compliant and less sharp over potholes, expansion joints, etc. I find the CC2's ride to be noticeably better than the Kumhos. The CC2s also solved 90% of the steering wheel vibration issue.

Pros: softer ride, more compliant
Cons: efficiency, noise impact
Vehicle: Kia
Mileage: 350 km

I have kumho tires on my car. I bought it brand new in 2020 and they are just getting to the point where I will probably need to replace them in the next few months. I have 39,000 miles on my car so I guess that's pretty good for a mid-grade tire.

Pros: good mileage, mid-grade tire
Cons: valve dry rotted
Mileage: 62764 km

I would skip the encompass aw01s. I had a set WR G3s and then a set of WR G4s and they were great with low noise and great traction. I then tried these since they were on sale, and I didn’t find them as good as the prior two sets of nokians. They seemed noisier and only excelled in standing water traction. Otherwise snow conditions seemed just average.

Pros: great traction, low noise
Cons: seemed noisier, average snow

Nokian tires do that. All of there winter and summer and 4season tires through the last 10-12 years are known for devolving cracks through the outer layers. There summer tires I-line would crack all along the threads in 3-4 years.

Cons: cracks through outer layers
