Bought a set of the new Hankook iON HT tires for my R1T in the 275/65R20 variant. This is replacing the Pirelli Scorpion AT with this All-Season. Will report back and do a video on efficiency and reliability on RivianTrackr.

Did a 229 mi trip and got 2.3 mi/kWh on full highway. I’ll keep reporting back on my thoughts.

Pros: efficiency on highway

YOKOHAMA Tires

275/70R18 Yokohama Geolandar A/T4 on 18" OEM Trailhunter wheels with +20mm offset. I was worried they would rub on my stock SR5 because the Yokohama spec sheet says the overall inflated diameter is 33.5" but no issues! Louder than the OEM Falkens on the road, but 10x better.

Pros: 10x better
Cons: louder than OEM

Very happy with the Hankook ion Evo AS SUV on the Ariya. The grip is much better in all conditions, even snow. Very quiet, and range has been similar to the Dunlops.

Pros: grip is much better
Vehicle: Nissan

YOKOHAMA Tires

If you’re wanting long distance. I have the Yokohama YK-GTX and they’re awesome. If you’re driving short distance but want sporty. The Bridgestone RE980AS+ are freaking awesome, and if you’re like me and base things off of looks too, they’re gorgeous.

Pros: Yokohama awesome for distance

My Yokohama Geolandar ATs have never let me down towing trailers off road in mostly very wet/boggy grass.

But are still well behaved on road

Pros: well behaved on road

I’m actually pretty disappointed with me ion evo’s. I got them for my ‘22 LR AWD. At first they were really good - and maybe I got a defective set or something- but at about 18k miles on them I already needed a new set. Even the guys at Discount Tire were pretty surprised they went bad so quickly. I don’t really hot rod the car. For reference my OEM tires were Hankook Kinergy GT and I got about 40k miles out of them. They start out as really good tires so I hope you have better luck than me!

Pros: really good at first
Cons: disappointing, wore out quickly
Mileage: 18000 km
