Tires Hankook or Vredestein

Vredestein Tires

Just got the Vredestein Quatrac Pro tires. Amazing grip and handling. They are an XL tire and they are also rated for extreme winter conditions.

Pros: amazing grip, handling

Vredestein Tires

we just installed a set of Vredestein Quatrac Pro tires on my sons 2005 Pontiac Vibe. He absolutely LOVES the tires!! I have ALWAYS been a strong believer in a good set of dedicated snow tire, however these tires seem to be the best of both worlds. I am seriously considering purchasing a set for my 2003 Passat W8!

Pros: absolutely loves, best of both worlds

I bought the Vredestein Quatrac Pro based on that Tire Rack review.

They are the most comfortable, satisfying feeling tires I have ever driven in my life. The ride quality, quietness, and general polished feel are unmatched. They have damn near Michelin A/S 3+ and Conti DWS06 dry and wet traction despite being about 4 performance classes down. They are actually very good in snow/ice as well. Been ripping through the Canadian winter on them with no complaints.

Pros: comfortable, satisfying feeling tires

I have Vredestein on my 2008 Infiniti G35X and they’re an excellent all around tire. Highly recommend.

About 800 miles on mine (2018 GSW S 4mo). Can only echo what others have said. Excellent dry traction, excellent in the rain, and based on limited snow darn good there as well! Very quiet with a firm, connected feel.

Pros: excellent dry traction
Cons: mileage drop off
Mileage: 1287 km

Vredestein Tires

also, no comparo w/the Firestones, but I'm on the Wintrac Pros right now, driving in California, and they're fine in warm/dry conditions. I put them on since I'm going back and forth over the passes back to WA, where I am full time. For a winter/snowbird tire that's not terrible in the dry and good in the wet, I can definitely recommend these.

Pros: good in wet, fine in dry
Cons: not terrible in dry

Vredestein Tires

I have the 225/40-18 Vredesteins on my 7.5R. I can't compare to the Firestones directly, but I'm very happy with the Vredesteins. After breaking them in I'm quite happy with how well they stick in the dry, and their performance in ~8" of snow was outstanding.

Pros: stick well in dry, outstanding snow performance

Hankook Tires

I would pick the Ecopias, they are reviewed much higher than the Kinergy tires on tire rack (but far from the best). I got the Kinergys on mine and they are ok, but if it rains they are not the best and slip easily.

Pros: reviewed higher on tire rack
Cons: slip easily when raining

Hankook Tires

I am still kind of unhappy with Hankook and I'll probably avoid this brand in future. That said, it looks like my Hankook tires with 60k treadwear warranty were worn literally to ground in less than 25k miles in 3 years.

Cons: worn quickly, less than 25k miles
Vehicle: Honda
Mileage: 40233 km
