Tires Hankook or Toyo

Had them for a couple years on my truck, 285 75/16s fairly quiet in comparison to my buddies Chinese ATs. Pretty good in snow, wet traction could be better, but they’re quite good off-road. Better than the Firestones and Hankooks Iv had before for sure.

Pros: fairly quiet, good off-road
Cons: wet traction could improve

The larger tires are noticeably louder than the OEM but I haven't tried other brands to make a definitive conclusion. Performance wise I think they have been good, running through sand, gravel, pavement, rain, rocks, and snow.

Pros: good performance, versatile
Cons: louder than OEM

Has the same size General Grabbers and when getting a new set, went with Toyo Open Country A/T III. They’ve been fantastic, only had them on for a month but can notice they bite a little quicker off roads, around the same road noise on tarmac, and look great.

Pros: bite a little quicker
Cons: same road noise

Toyo Tires

As soon as my stock tires got worn out I purchased the Toyos. They were pretty expensive, but I guess all bigger tires cost $$$. I also had to get them shipped to Oahu. I do notice when I drive that shifting is a little slower, but not sure if it’s related to computer not recognizing the bigger tires size. I guess time to invest in a Tazer or Jscan?

Pros: bigger tires
Cons: shifting is a little slower

Toyo Tires

They are decent. I’ve ran the AS 4, Proxes and also the Extreme Contact DWS before. I would call the AS 4 and Extreme Contacts a tier 1 All Season tire, and the Proxes tier 2. The Proxes aren’t bad by any means but the dry grip isn’t on the same level as the other two especially at colder temperatures.

Pros: decent, tier 2 tire
Cons: dry grip not great

Hankook Tires

Also in Colorado with 50e. Have 21-inch wheels with factory Hankook “all season” performance run flats. Just ordered a set of Nokian Hakkapeliitta R5s for winter to replace the Hankooks that perform like I’m on an ice rink with bald tires…

Pros: for winter
Cons: perform like on ice
Vehicle: BMW X5
