I replaced my GT summer tires with the Hankooks and couldn’t be happier. I went through this last mild winter in the pacific northwest with no issues. Good grip in light snow and heavy rain. Low noise and great handling with my sometimes overly aggressive driving.
I started with the khumos on a wind AWD, have the hankook’s now. The hankooks are way better in standing water/rain, and are stiffer overall. This leads to a little more road vibration but is not a major complaint. The khumos also wore out faster. Efficiency wise the hankooks are very very close but slightly less
I have the hankook's on 20's. Expensive. No issues.
I have the hankooks- they’re awesome. Will be buying again when they wear out. Had them about a year now and no issues. Way better in rain than the alenzas. My range went up with the hankooks.
I have no idea about the Kumhos, but I have the Hankooks. They're nice and quiet, although I feel like they're a bit more firm as a tire compared to the Alenzas it came with.
In average, max sustained, and peak db level in the cabin, the Hankooks were anywhere between .5 db and 2.5 db quieter than the Scorpions.
My 24 MYP came with Hankook Ion Evo SUV. They are new tires from Hankook specifically designed for EVs, so only time will tell about tread life, but really like them
One review says it's quiet, but the other review says it's loud:
Has anybody experienced dry rot with the factory Hankook Kinergy GT tires that came equipped with the 16" Torontos (In MY 2017 at least)? All four tires have these cracks along the outer channels. 16k miles, 8/32" tread depth remaining. 4 years old.
I have 4 on my GLI and I doubt they will last 35,000 km. I took them off and put on my winters at 25K and they don't look like they will last much longer. I don't drive my car hard at all. Last winter, with 5000 to 7000 km on them, I could barely move in a parking lot with 10 cm of snow.
