Tires Hankook or Nokia

Nokia Tires

Nokian is the original OG in winter tire. In fact, they practically invented winter tires and have been developing winter tires since. It's all I will ever buy for winter tires. Remember that these tires were developed for the harsh Finland winters. It's why I'm currently running some Hakka R3s on my car.

Pros: developed for harsh winters

Nokia Tires

Solterra owner here, living at 6k feet in the Sierra/Tahoe area..Installed WRg5s a month ago and it's been icy, near the freezing point on several occasions now. Maybe its the Solterra traction control, maybe its the tires...maybe its the combination of both, but I've been testing in black and glazed ice on the roundabouts and the tight icy corners and they won't. break. loose!

Pros: good traction on ice
Cons: almost boring driving
Vehicle: Subaru

Nokia Tires

They handle rain and snow pretty well... The worst was the ice storm down in Vancouver back in February. They did amazingly well for not being true snow tires and without studs

Pros: handle rain and snow
Cons: pick up small rocks
Mileage: 15000 km

Nokia Tires

If you’re looking for a budget friendly option Nokian sells an all weather time you can drive year round the WRG4 which from my experience is better than the budget winter tires in terms of grip. Had them on my car for almost 5 years now and they’re still great

Pros: better grip, great experience

Hankook Tires

If endurance consistency and value are what you're looking for, it's Hankook rs4. Slower than the ecf but similar tires, cheaper and more tread life

Pros: cheaper, more tread life
Cons: slower than ecf

Rating 3.0

I had Nokian WRG2s on a car once in the summer. Technically an all-season, but a very very soft all-season. The only thing to note was that under hard braking/cornering they would get squirrelly since the rubber was so soft.

Pros: good traction in rain
Cons: squirrelly under hard braking

Hankook Tires

Your generation crv is lucky to get 30k out of a set of tires *WITH* proper alignment, awd, pressures and rotations at ~5k miles. Do not buy hankook tires

Cons: poor longevity, low mileage
Vehicle: Honda
Mileage: 48280 km
