These days I prefer the Cooper Discoverer Enduramax. Sturdier construction for rough roads, better in rain and snow in my experience, and bit nicer ride. They’re stiff enough for good handling but still absorb bumps well. At first they were a bit noisy on rougher surfaced roads, but certainty not obnoxiously so. Seemed to get quieter after some wear. Fuel economy stayed the same as the OEM tires but much better traction.

Pros: better in rain and snow, good handling
Cons: bit noisy at first

Yeah, I have 20k with these on my Mazda6 and I wouldn't say they're unresponsive. In fact I would say they're quite responsive in that they like to track in the direction you're turning, so the car gets encouraged to dive into turns. One thing I have noticed is that they feel much more dead if you let them get low. Keep them at 36psi.

Pros: quite responsive, encourages turns
Cons: feel dead when low
Vehicle: Mazda 6
Mileage: 20000 km

I’m glad the series asked Firestone for a bigger differential in pace between the reds and blacks. A lot of the time last year it seemed largely negligible.

Pros: bigger pace differential
Cons: pace largely negligible

I just put 4 255/45R19's Cooper pro controls on my 2015 ford taurus limited. I live in Wisconsin and it's winter so I got to test them in the snow. Not bad for all seasons. I've driven with Bridgestone Blizzak winter tires and they're for sure not at that level but good enough grip, I felt confident ish in deep snow.

Pros: good enough grip
Cons: not Blizzak level
Vehicle: Ford Taurus

I have them on my 4Runner replacing prior at3 4s tires. Took a chance on them. I find them even better the prior at3 4s - as quiet as the original stocks. smooth easy riding on highway, outstanding in snow and slush - had them in a mini blizzard the first week. slightly more “aggressive” aesthetic if that’s your thing. Very happy with them.

Pros: smooth easy riding

Firestone is a budget “decent” tire. Crossclimate 2 is made to be VERY good in snow and rain (it also lasts the 60,000 miles it claims).

Pros: very good in snow, rain
Cons: budget decent tire
Mileage: 96560 km
