I got the Nokian wrg4 for my wife's 2001 Lexus rx300 and have been very impressed. Still less than 1000 miles on them though so can't speak for the longevity.
Federal 595's are to my knowledge, the best bang for your buck.
I have the Nokian WR-G4, which are in a class of tires called 'all-weather' tires. This class of tire is relatively new is much more winter biased than traditional all-season tires. It does very well with moderate amounts of snow and extremely cold temperatures, whereas most typical all-season tires are 'marginally sufficient' at best.
After driving in dedicated winters (blizzak and c-ice) for 10+ years my last two sets of tires have been Nordman WR and Nokias WR G4, both perform equally to the dedicated winters in my driving in Alberta winters with lots of mountain driving.
Had the WR G4 SUV on my Ford Edge, much better then the stock Michelin Latitude tires, especially in winter.
I have used the 595-RSR tires for 8 years now, several sets. yes they are noisy, get worse with miles but I noticed the newest ones were even louder! These tires are the ultimate in grip/handling, one of the few that can put FWD power to the ground. Make my cars handle like its on rails and they don't squeal when pushing to the limit around corners. They are so sticky they pick up all the rocks/debris and throw it up in your wheel wells/rockers. I think they are easily one the best handling tire out there. Very stiff sidewalls, but extremely loud (like louder than winter tires). If you can handle the sound and dont expect a lot of miles out of them, go for it.
So far they're awesome. They feel kinda chunky in a good way, but smooth, and they are absolutely glued down on the steep icy driveway.
All 3 are good but get the Hakkas. They're very good at cornering on winding mountain roads, excellent control and they handle the spring warm/snow cycle well.
Had a set on my Volvo. They were good in the winter, but only okay in the summer, and they met an early demise on a gravel road in the Sangres
Will NEVER buy Nokian tires. They crack on the sides and they don't stand behind them.
