Tires FEDERAL or GT Radial

FEDERAL Tires

Anyone here running Federal 595s? I’m using them on my Focus ST. In case you’re looking for a great low price tire, id give the 595s a try. Mine handle great in warmth and on rain it’s pretty decent if you’re not flooring it from a slow speed. We’re past snow now and in snow they handled okay as well. Overall, great tire for the price.

Pros: great handling, good price
Cons: decent in rain
Vehicle: Ford Focus
Mileage: 11000 km

I run these on my daily but my daily commute is 8-9 miles total so I just deal with the tire noise. But it is very noticeable. They are rated at 200TW so don't expect the same mileage as a PS4S. 7 to 10K is the average a lot of people report seeing out of the RS-RR

For the money nothing will grip as hard. That being said they need some heat in them to get the most out of them. I run them hard on track and they put a smile on my face. I'm not breaking track records so, again, for the money, great value.

Pros: great value, hard grip
Cons: very noticeable tire noise
Vehicle: Subaru

As others have said - great tire for the money. I've had mine for almost a year now of daily driving and approximately 80\~ autocross runs. They behave like other 200tw tires but lack the ultimate grip the better ones have.

Pros: great tire for money
Cons: lacks ultimate grip

I run them on my Mk6 Golf R in STH. I would not recommend daily driving on them as they are very loud. They do have excellent dry grip but not the best as others are noting in this thread. These are a great starter tire if you aren't looking to get the best edge in equipment, or a good change of pace if you want to challenge yourself to be a better driver.

Pros: excellent dry grip
Cons: very loud

I have them, run them on my ES miata, couldn't be happier with their performance on the course. I've heard the re71r is a bit more predictable with stepping out and I would believe that. Also, for daily driving, these things hum like there is a cessna flying low behind you. I have won ES Class in one of the events I ran them in against 6 or 7 others.

Pros: happy with performance
Cons: very noisy
Vehicle: Mazda

The federal RS-R and RS-RR are unbelievable on the front. I have drifted at 60mph through puddles and never once understeered. On dry they are crazy grippy as well.

Pros: crazy grippy, no understeer

running Federal 595 RS-RRs on my RX-7 and they're not bad, certainly not as sticky as the Toyo R888s I had on previously, but I can't reallly complain otherwise.

Pros: not bad
Cons: not as sticky
Vehicle: Mazda

Mine lasted 2.. but only because they were worn almost to the belt at the end of the second summer. I should have tossed them after the first summer of use...

Cons: worn almost to belt
