Tires FEDERAL or COMFORSER

FEDERAL Tires

I run Federal RSRR on the front of my drift car and Id say its TOO much grip in comparison to the rear 'whatever-I-Can-get" used tires.

Pros: too much grip

The Federals have been good for me the last couple of years for a budget tire, but they're really only a budget friendly tire for larger sizes.

Pros: budget friendly
Cons: only for larger sizes

Federal command 2.4s have been my favorite so far. Smooth center tread for good rolling and speed retention, but still have some tread on the side for banking and grind protection. Rubber compound they use is also getting softer with time/riding so they feel better the more worn in they get.

Pros: good rolling, speed retention
Cons: no cons

COMFORSER Tires

Comforser CF3000's. Chinese, but that deep lug should be a good all round tire, you'd sure be in trouble in that fall mud with well worn tires.

Pros: good all round tire
Cons: Chinese

RS-RR's are good for wear also but way longer to overheat when pushed. They squeal and moan like crazy though and finding the limit of grip is very hard.

Pros: good wear, longer overheat
Cons: squeal and moan, hard grip

Federal 595RS-PRO 275 width - Lower grip levels than RE71 or similar, but they wear like rocks. I am on heat cycle 15 and they have no significant wear. Time deltas for me on a short, technical track are ~1.5-2 secs slower than my other tires, however.

Pros: wear like rocks
Cons: lower grip levels
Vehicle: BMW

FEDERAL Tires

Those tires are the lowest budget-high grip tires you can buy. Can't have everything for free, noise is to be expected with that kind of tire peformance

Pros: high grip
Cons: lowest budget, noisy

FEDERAL Tires

I have a set of Federal RSRR. They only have about 3,000 miles on them. I took them to a track day and there was no feedback on when the tire would lose traction, the car would go from full grip to zero in a snap.

Cons: no traction feedback, sudden loss
Mileage: 4800 km
