I got some Falken Wild Peak Trail with 18 inch aftermarket rims. so far performance in wet and snowy conditions has been excellent.
I went from Falkens to Toyos in 315/70r17 and the Falkens were 2” larger in diameter.
I have Akklimates on my Hyundai Kona. They rate pretty good in everything and have held up well in snow and wet conditions, but I specifically bought them because I don't drive that car much and they are more of a value 3PMSF tire.
Falken Ziex 960s are what I ran in big bear for years. Rain snow shine. If I needed cables I should've driven a different car. It was a hoon in the snow lol.
Did a short test drive today. No rubbing or other issues with normal/slightly spicy driving. Went lock to lock in a parking lot, no issues.
Check out Vredestein. I am currently running the Hypertrac all season and they are very good.
Bought AT4s a year ago. I have great traction on wet, dry and snowy roads here in New Hampshire. Would definitely recommend and buy again.
They are good just make sure you use them up in a few years since they start to show aging quite early compared to many other brands
KO3’s suck these days. Go with the Falken Wildpeak AT4’s or the Toyo Open Country AT3 is better in the snow from what I’ve experienced.
I got the falkens from discount tire. They were a good price but I don't think I would get them again. All else being equal they don't track as well as the Yokohama I had.
